Air conditioning gases naturally evaporate from your car's air conditioning system - typically 15% per annum. This goes unnoticed until the system stops working as parts are damaged or worn out. Replacement costs can run in to £1,000's. Fuel consumption can also increase as your compressor needs to work harder.

All this can be avoided by regular maintenance which only takes 1-2 hours a t a cost of around £50.

What's in a service

Gas analysed to check for contaminants
All components including cab blowers are checked.
System pressures checked
Check output temperatures
Remove and weigh refrigerant
Pressure test system for leaks with oxygen-free-nitrogen
Vacuum system to remove air and moisture.
Oils injected to lubricate system
Inject ultra violet dyes for tracing future leaks.
Recharge system with R134A refrigerant
Change pollen filters if required

Removing bad odours

Over time most air conditioning systems start to produce a musty of offensive odour, this is caused by bacteria or fungi forming on the evaporator behind the dashboard.

The only remedy is to apply anti-bacterial spray directly on to your Evaporator, one single application should remove all odours. We can do this for a cost of £25.
